"Mommy and Daddy, They have date nights. They Go in their room, close the door, turn up the TV real loud. I can't go in there." Said Caleb to his grandparents.
Ooopps! Wonder where that Came from?!

Shall I play for you?
Little Drummer Boy:
Come they told me, pa rum pum pum pum
A new born King to see, pa rum pum pum pum
Our finest gifts we bring, pa rum pum pum pum
To lay before the King, pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,
So to honor Him, pa rum pum pum pum,
When we come.
Little Baby, pa rum pum pum pum
I am a poor boy too, pa rum pum pum pum
I have no gift to bring, pa rum pum pum pum
That's fit to give the King, pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,
Shall I play for you, pa rum pum pum pum,
On my drum?
Mary nodded, pa rum pum pum pum
The ox and lamb kept time, pa rum pum pum pum
I played my drum for Him, pa rum pum pum pum
I played my best for Him, pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,
Then He smiled at me, pa rum pum pum pum
Me and my drum.
Walk a mile...
...but in her case, ACROSS the ROOM...;o)
Sarah is walking now. She started on Christmas, and then the Day after Christmas it was more evident, she was walking Full Throttle. We are so excited to see her new developments. Especially Caleb! H e starts yelling for me every time she steps away from the couch and takes off. I love his enthusiasm. He loves having a sibling, and I'm proud of him for being such a big brother! She and Caleb Constantly amaze me. But in different ways. With Caleb he amazes me how much he's learning and how his vocab. is improving daily. He comprehends things so much better than he did last year at this time, he is just the most awesome little man! I have never regretted him starting school this year. It was the best thing we've done for him.
I hope everyone had a great and Merry Christmas. I know we did!

Christmas on Short Street
Well, as another year rolls around, there have been plenty of blessings and discouragements, I'm sure for all of us. Things have been crazy in our household to say the least. But through it all, My God is a Mighty One. He's seen us through each and every storm. We are truly starting to learn how to dance in the rain, instead of waiting for the Sunshine and Rainbows...Even though you may not see them now, in your present situation, God has plan's and there IS a reason for everything! If not to make your Stronger, but more Understanding of Him.
So, With that said, I'm feeling very blessed this Christmas. I'm blessed that everyone was here and alive. God seems to constantly remind me daily of what we almost lost. My beautiful children are healthy, and living full happy lives. Life is short, and can be so easily whisked away from you. Within the same breath I can definitely say that I will never forget this year, and I never want to remember this year, for that simple fact alone. And you know, no matter what..With all the presents, the money, the gifts, the ONLY thing that really matters is the Love and Blessings of a family.
We were concerned this year, because Rob wasn't working very much since a week before Thanksgiving. It was to the point that we wouldn't know where Christmas was going to come from for the kids (we NEVER give each other anything) and we didn't know where this months money for 1/2 the bills was going to come from. I couldn't really get mad at his work, nor the weather. It was just one of those things, that you can't prevent. That is just part of the field of work that he is in.
We did the best we could this year, and when it comes down to it, we were just all glad to be together, relaxing, eating with family, and enjoying the day inside where it was warm and cozy. This year we had Christmas dinner at our house. Wow, talk about excitement! It has always been a goal of mine to be able to host Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner at my home. I feel so honored that I was able to. We had loads of fun, and lots to eat. Even though not all the family could make it, because of sickness or trips back to their own homes, but all were thought of on a wonderful day!

All in all, Christmas 2009 was a fantastic one!

Sarah, you seem to be getting so big, faster than we can handle!
We love you so much, and are so happy you are a part of our little family!
Sometimes you can outeat your brother AND daddy.
You have the best little smile this side of heaven, and you always keep us laughing!
You know how to say kitty, ball, momma, daddy, bubba, duck, I love you, and a few others.
You're taking half steps "When you want to" and would rather Crawl than walk anywhere.
You adore your brother to no end. Comfort him when he's upset, and pick on him when he doesn't welcome it!
You love bananas, crackers, Cereal Puffs, cheese, bread by the slice, and just about any other thing we put in front of you to eat!
You love Mothers Day Out, but also love to cuddle with mom or dad when relaxing at home.
You are a true daddy's girl, and relish in it!
You have a love for all animals, and are currently not afraid of Gauge and Farrah anymore. :)
You love to climb and be in the middle of your brothers toys when he's playing. (By the way, he's not too fond of that!)
You're willing to go to anyone that is standing rather than sitting. You like to be high in the air to see all that is going on around you.
You love watching the weather, rather snow or rain, or the beautiful leaves blowing.
You love our family afternoon walks.
You love the van and car rides.
You love shoes, and wearing them. Because that means we are "going" somewhere. You don't care where. :)You love to sing along, even though we don't understand.
You love to "gripe" us out when things don't go your way!
Daddy, Mommy and Bubba love you bunches!
Our sweet little princess.
You are truly a blessing to us all.
Oh Baby, Its Cold Outside....

Starting Young....
I think my daughter is acquiring a shoe fetish...if she knows where her shoes are, she'll bring them to me to put them on, and she gets excited and holds her feet out to you! TOO CUTE!
Her favorite pairs, thus far!...The beginning of a lifelong hobby!!...hey, a girl has to have at lease ONE guilty pleasure!

Family Traditions...
Oh, how we love that the holidays are upon us. The kids did our tradition of decorating the tree the day after Thanksgiving. And not a moment too soon. Both were excited to see the beautiful tree in our living room. I'm looking past the little incident of Sarah actually trying to EAT the ornaments. It was too cute to watch her! Caleb is getting so big, and I can't believe he's actually big enough to help decide where the ornaments go. So much fun!
Caleb ~ 9 months old.
