Mommy cake, Flower Hands

For Mothers Day, Calebs Class had HEB Bakery come to his school so that they could all make Mothers Day Cakes. On top of that, they allowed the Dads to come and help on Tuesday to decorate them.


So, I heard from Robert that it was interesting to see all the cakes that Caleb and his classmates made. But here is what my boys came home with for me.

Very Pretty. lol. Even the big lump of icing in the middle. Caleb asked me when he got home, "How was the big pink pile?" LOL.

I guess I'm celebrating Mothers Day a little early in the week, but who cares?

I feel extra special, because I have an extra special little boy!

Also, Sarah had a gift for me too. She goes to MDO twice a week, and yesterday I picked her up from school, along with a gift bag that read, "Happy Mothers Day, Love Sarah" 

I knew they made really sweet things because her brother went there before he started public school.  I was so excited to see what "she" made me. :)

I'm so very blessed to have such sweet, loving, generous children.

I couldn't ask for anything more.:D

What a great day!
Never had such a better day.
I woke up to have breakfast in bed thanks to my spectacular husband. Yum! Blueberry Pankcakes ;)
Cuddling with both the babies in bed. How fun to tickle and laugh so early all snug in the covers.
We had a great church service with our family and friends.
After church we went home. Caleb and Robert set out to get lunch for us. (*Rob was Cooking*)
Armed with takeout they returned a little after I woke up from a much needed/desired nap.
We had a picnic on the Living Room Floor and watched a movie.
Then we had more great activities planned this afternoon as a family.
Then we ended the day by having dinner with Robs Mom at a Local Steakhouse.

I didn't get to spend today with my mother, but I was lucky to last Sunday on her birthday!
I called her tonight and it felt wonderful to know that it was her best Birthday/Mothers Day Yet!
I'm so blessed to have such a loving, forgiving, generous, caring mother! I love you!

As I had said in a previous post. I had purchased fabric to make a "project" for Sarah. Well I'm done now and my project was a baby blanket for her!

I was intentionally going to work on it all week this week but decided that since this week is spring break I wouldn't have time with Caleb not going to MDOut this week.

SOooo...I worked on it all afternoon after church yesterday. I didn't rush and even messed up once or twice because my tension was off on my sewing machine and I had the wrong thread for my topstitch. BUT, its done and I'm quite proud of it for being my first attempt at, well ANYTHING to do with sewing besides Hemming pants or patching robs jeans.

Introducing Sarah Powell

Born Oct. 5, 2008 at 8:45 a.m., weighing in at 7lbs. 3.5 ozs and measuring 20.25 ins long.
We want to welcome our little girl, Sarah Elizabeth Powell. We are currently now at home, relaxing and enjoying the family time we have before Rob has to go back to work tomorrow.
Thank you for all of your blessings, support and love. Visitors are always welcome!

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Truth

So I went to the Dr. today and was checked, poked for blood and told my worst nightmare... I was being checked and of course, I asked how I was coming along, and he told me "Head's Down, and no dialation, but it doesn't matter, you're having a CSection anyway." WHAT!?! This whole pregnancy I have asked him multiple times if it were possible to deliver naturally even after my c/s with my first child. "Oh, no worries, we can do naturally." He even pulled my surgery report to make SURE I could have her naturally....I'm a little upset to be told so late in the game that I can't have what I anticipated all along, but be that as it may, I have a date. Our little girl, pending not coming earlier, will be delivered by Caesarean Section on October 8, 2008. I only ask for all of your prayers during this time for the doctors, Sarah and I. And that everything goes as the Lord would have it.

FYI ~ I'm doing much better from my trip to the Hospital on Friday, till Tues. Sans the weekend. Mommy and baby are doing well! Baby Still on track for a October Delivery.

Just to sorta catch you up, I had some BH Contractions on Friday, ended up with a bug from going into L & D on Friday and ended up having to go back on Monday. Thought I would just be staying for a few hours to get fluids and ended up under "surveillance" for 23 hours. Boy did it take alot out of me! I was released on Tues about 2p.m. and have been resting the rest of the week at home. Good thing...I was exhausted from lying around that hospital....Nope Can't make me, not going back....well, for another 7 weeks that is! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Caleb wanted to have fun with our family camera this afternoon.

BTW, We will be finding out the sex of the baby on Tues. Will be updating soon!
