WFW

Life flies by so fast, in the blink of an eye.
So, it is truly hard to get to spend time with the people
in your life that matter the most.
Jobs, Future Plans, Appointments, Life gets in the way.
We've heard it all before.
No one is to blame.

I confess that its hard for me that my parents, and close family don't get to see me and my family all the time. And, That I don't get to see them on a daily basis. I love being surrounded by family, and so do my children.

I thought about something today...
Enjoy and be pleased with the ones that are able to express their love to my children. So, its the littlest moments/memories that mean the most.

Fall Cookies by Sarah
I.E.~Roberts Grandmother, called me the other day just to see if Sarah would want to make cookies today. I thought what a sweet gesture of her! Sarah loves doing things like that. I also think its great that Sarah knows her Great Grandparents, and enjoys their company.  All of mine passed away before I could really KNOW them or remember anything about them. And boy! she had a blast....its the little things...

Its not really WHO makes them feel special. It's that there is someone there in their life that DOES make them feel special. It could be a best friend, teacher, youth pastor, counselor, etc.

Caleb is learning about "initiative." What a great word.
Personally, I want to take the initiative to not let life get in the way. Life's too short, so I'm making sure that I'm one of those "someones" in my families life that makes them feel extra Special. I want to be a present in their life, and make a Godly difference.
